Dr. Olive Okraku’s ultimate goal is to help others to live fulfilling lives. With several years of experience working in different cultures and training in evidence-based modalities, she has worked with women who struggled to be understood due to the unique nature of mental health issues in women.
Her goal is to help women identify their unique needs, access care, and support them to adjust and improve their overall quality of life.
There are mental health issues that affect both men and women, but with unique implications for women. We all know that mental health is relevant to everyone. However, there are social, political, and economic factors that influence women’s mental health and access to care. There are many reasons from socialization to being in multiple roles in their families which may impact how women express their physical health and mental health symptoms and needs. So, while women share many health concerns with men, they have unique healthcare needs. For example, experts have reported that hormonal fluctuation issues not only impact the physical but also the mental health of women. Dr. Olive Okraku has an understanding and uses evidence-based approaches to help you manage, and adjust to these issues and ultimately heal.
